Removal Services works within the laws of each
state to expunge, seal, set-aside, or vacate
your criminal record. Many of our clients
have just been
denied employment, housing,
credit, or terminated from a job because of
their criminal record.
In the United States today,
most criminal records are cleared in order to
prevent further
job,
housing, and credit discrimination (see collateral consequences of
criminal charges below). The
process for removing
an offense from your criminal record varies from
state to state. Records Removal Services
assigns specialists and criminal justice
advisors to specific legal jurisdictions
throughout the United States.
Once the motion is signed by the appropriate court,
Records Removal Services begins
notifying criminal background check
companies that your record has been ordered expunged, sealed,
set-aside, or vacated. Records Removal Services will ensure you
are removed from every local, state, and national database,
including: Sheriff's Office, Administrative Office of the
Courts, Attorney General, State Bureau of Investigation, State
Police, Federal Bureau of Investigation, People Search, Department
of Justice, and all private criminal background check companies in
the United States.
CLIENT REVIEWS:
-
"Thank you and everyone at
Records Removal Services for expunging my name
from criminal background check companies. I know
I lost patience in the process at times, and was
probably a horrible client, but the end result
is that my criminal past is expunged....erased,
and I cannot thank you
enough." - David in Sea
Bright, New Jersey
-
"I never thought this day would
come, a day when my previous life was expunged
forever and no one will ever know. I thought my
education would be useless after being
convicted, and for more than 5 years it has
followed and haunted me. I do not know if you
truly realize how much you have helped me, but I
will always be
grateful." -
Thomas in San
Francisco,
California
-
"I am going to
recommend your service to anyone I know that has
a criminal record. The misdemeanor I had
prevented me from getting my nursing license but
it is expunged! Thank you! If I can do
anything for any of you, please let me
know!" -
Amanda in Charlotte,
South
Carolina
Expungement is often equated
to the sealing or destroying of legal records. Each state offers its own
definition of expungement, based on different rules and laws. Generally,
expungement can be viewed as the process to "remove from general review"
the records pertaining to a case. But the records may not completely
"disappear" and may still be available to law enforcement.
Generally, all records on
file within any court, detention or correctional facility, law
enforcement or criminal justice agency concerning a person's detection,
apprehension, arrest, detention, trial or disposition of an offense
within the criminal justice system can be expunged. Each state sets its
own guidelines for what records can be expunged.
